Woah to. Welcome to the new best rivalry in baseball. Hey, welcome to another episode of ninety miles podcast the cubs and brewers rivalry podcast ninety miles from Wrigley field to Miller park. And we got an exciting episode today since this weekend the cubs and brewers play each other big preview. Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Battleground wrigley. That’s right. Oh, so yeah. So well, you know, an and we’re glad to have you here. And we know of course, why? Well, we talked about a little bit about maybe which one of us would open that persona. And I I think you mentioned something about whoever’s team is higher in the standings that the that they get to open that pursuit. So I, you know, I’m okay with that. If you don’t mind me opening every single episode well year, but. Uh-huh. Yeah. The brewers are so far behind the cubs, and they’ll actually be ahead of a map of the weekend. Anyway, crepes you guys can barely scrape through the Marlins. What do you think it’s going to happen when the bruise role into barely, you know, you know, the cubs at a seven game winning streak going there. And yeah, they drop efforts one of the Marlins, but you know, in Marla happens. But that’s all right. Yeah. Well, you know, what if that that one loss is in there in between a couple seven eight game winning streaks. You know? Maybe this next one. Well, this next one should be should be at least six you know, they got the next three against the Marlins three against the brewers. Lisa. Six game winning streak. Oh, yeah. Good. Yeah. Count those chickens. You bet he get one little laws like that you start another winning streak. That’s fine. Well, Bruce have been nine and three over the last twelve, but you don’t wanna talk about that. What are some of the other things are gonna cover today? Obviously. It’s the big preview episode. We got a tweet of the week maybe talking about some fickleness in the fan bases. Despite the hotness of these two teams. Read despite yet, despite actually some pretty significant success, you know, some fans like like to to grasp on anything to be upset about. So we’ll touch on that. And we’ll give our perspectives on on that. So that’s you know, yes, obviously, we’ve got a we’ve got to cover our predictions. We’ve had a couple of those come to a close. So we’re going to do that today. There’s a little little ninety miles tie. I wanted to talk about a former brewer with a heck of a pitching performance last night. You may already know about that, of course, when we’re recording this it was last night. This could be a few nights ago when you hear us we got the essential breakdown. And I think I wanna talk a little bit about the NFL east today. Don’t you? Sure, we can we can talk about the east. Obviously, I’m I’m gonna wanna talk a little bit about the cardinals who. Yes, I I kind of handled. Well, that’s true. Yeah. The cardinals. Yeah. They really slumped heading rate into that game. I don’t know what happened to him. Oh, well, oh, yeah. Well, maybe they just you know, faced a an actual good team. And you know, that’s what happens. Well, yeah. The Burs start five into against them. And then they got to the end of their their long stretch games. And then got swept so they’re five and five against them. You guys are what three no against them to start season. So I didn’t mind the cubs winning all three games. I didn’t love it. It was one of those series where whenever you’re huge huge cubs fan. You’re texting go cubs. Go coast. Right. No. What I was texting. You was I’m going to be sick. I can’t watch this craft. Okay. Hate these teams pretty much what I was texting. If I recall. I mean, I don’t know. I didn’t really have a have a dog in the fight. It was it was what it was. But yeah, why don’t you talk about a little bit? Well, it’s funny. You know, by the end of the year. Year. Well, yeah, it’s true. It’s just a half game. It’s a cubs and then a half game back cardinals and brewers are both a half game back. So it is a tight strong division as we. Yes. Acted pittsburgh. And Cincinnati Pittsburgh’s over fi, you know over five hundred. So you know, Cincinnati. I think I I’ve said it, I think though, you know. Yeah. Trap, some lightning in a ball here at some point gone. A little bit of a run. I don’t think they’re going to you know, before seventeen I think they’ll be closer to five hundred. But anyway, I think Pittsburgh, you know. Yeah. We’ll see. But anyways, that’s central segment. We’ll get there. We’ll get. Yeah. But anyways. Yeah. Cardinals brewers rate there half game back of the cubs cubs have three more games against or two more games against the Marlins. They won. Yesterday. That’s saying the six game six game minimum winning streak coming up here. And then swept by the brewers ready, especially with the conquest the well every season which sweeps would ever team. Sweeps has a very good chance of being in first place. Come the end of the weekend. Oh, they would be. They would be if one of the two teams sweep. Yeah. I don’t assuming the cardinals just, you know, the only guy and five last ten, you know. Yeah. Yeah. So. And actually they’re playing while they’re still playing Philadelphia, aren’t they? Yes. Yep. Yeah. We’ll talk about that. And I was under break. But yes, so huge series.

But yeah, let’s actually let’s finish reviewing the week. Like we were gonna do. I guess or what we wanna talk while the cubs swept the cardinals. Okay. Any highlights you wanted to point out from the series. You know? Well, you know, they they really just dominated Kris Bryant really getting hot. He had a grand slam in that third game against the cardinals. Which was pretty sweet, which is kinda you know that last that last win was great. ’cause they really just absolutely. You know, crushed the cardinals. So that’s always fun. Yeah. I don’t I don’t hate watching the cardinals lose badly. But. Watching the cubs win also makes me kind of ill. So it’s not. Yeah. It’s not good. But it’s not bad. I was thirteen to five win that that third game. So it was you know, very satisfying weekend. And yeah, Kris Bryant is getting hot and Rizzo. Rizzo’s began hot, you know. Well, we’ll talk a little bit in the in the preview probably preparing we’ll get into a little bit. Yep. The yes. Yup. So I’ll talk more about that. But so the lines basically and oh who. Darvish. Would you have to say that stops me in my tracks? Every time I get all hot and sweaty. Yeah. I figured you. You would I can under-. I can understand. Yeah. I could understand that. Uh-huh. Yeah. I remember some tweets or something about, you know, his, you know, his coming up tonight pay attention was this what Saturday he started Saturday? Right. I think so. Yeah, I did heavens. I was optimistic. I was optimistic. I want to I you know, I wanna say he’s I mean, the previous start was actually better than this last start showing some signs he is just not he does not have the control of of the strike zone that I would like that. I would like to see he hasn’t been dominant mistakes since twenty fourteen men I’ve been trying to say this. But anyway, he’s to me like a three three point eight ERA guy. He’s solid. That’s where he’s going to end up because he can’t control those pitches as well as he needs to keep it out a big league hitters, bats. It’s I don’t know, man. I’m but anyway, how did the performance end up going over all not good good? Okay. Somewhere in the middle. You know, it was okay. You know, it was again, it was just a it’s just the control issue. So that’s that’s the thing. I mean, he his stuff. He’s got a lot of movement just really incredible stuff. But you know, spin rate is is is up there. He’s got God velocity back. He doesn’t seem to be injured. But if he could just locate as fast ball in particular, I think everything else would come off that that’s his fastballs been a little wild. So well, here’s a question for you. Then can we finally put to bed the U Darvish Cy Young chatter that we’ve had going on this entire podcast, thus far not run? Okay. All right. Yeah. You know, we talked about Iran’s positive fans what keep the Hopman keep the hope alive. Keep it alive. He’s got great stuff. But he’s never I don’t know. He hasn’t had a good half of a season since the sex. And half for the dodgers. And even then we talked about it. He was not great in the playoffs. That was a three point four one era second half with the dodgers after getting traded over from Texas. I just don’t I don’t understand. I don’t see how I understand the stuff is there. But he’s never put it together. Not since his best year around twenty fourteen. There’s hope from to be really good that I would agree with. I just wanna stop talking about Cy Young and you Darvish in the same sentence. That’s well, you know, we kind of have to because I do have that prediction top ten. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I guess, and I guess they means I got to keep talking about. You’ll leash seen in the end having a better more having more votes for the Cy Young. And being the better contract between the two. I guess that’ll be ongoing topical. Yeah. Okay. Okay. I can I can talk about you all day. That’s fine. It’s been fun. So far. I mean, that’s up there. That’s that’s you know, ver- Lander. That’s you know. Well, are you talking like ’cause I think league average curveball? And for those of you that don’t understand what we’re talking about spin rate is how fast how many RPM’s it’s running as it comes in. I think the average curve balls around twenty five twenty five fifty for big league pitching. Are you talking curveball? Or are you talking like fastball or slider? Well this. I got any any pitch. I was primarily though it says his fastball. Okay. That’s probably pretty high for fastball. I’m not a I’m not a spin rate insider though, so. Yeah. Yeah. Well, it’s no it’s it’s up there in in a high spin ran on fastball. It it becomes very very difficult to hit. That’s where you get the, you know, rising rack, even though it doesn’t actually rise. It’s just it. Just doesn’t fall. What hap- doesn’t drop into the bat? Okay. That makes a lot of sense. I think does that kind of wrap up your cubs review. I got kind of burned through the Pru. The bruise review because we need to get to this. Well, I I wanted to make sure yeah, we could limit the amount of time. We spend talking about the brewers. So I. Keep. That’s there. You can get a little long long winded. And they’ll start talking fielding percentage kidding. Feeling percentage. There’s three ways to win baseball games in rates more interesting than fielding percentage. Throw the ball you. Catch the ball. You hit the ball. That’s baseball. The brewers are doing a great job catching the ball. And I’m not gonna let you down play that it’s important, but let’s finish up. I’m gonna get a Lou little brewers talk just a little bit just a little bit. They’ve had a great week. They’re nine and three hundred twelve. So it’s been a nice stretch. We did a recording last Tuesday not last Wednesday. And that’s you know, kind of kind of overshadowed a couple of things, but what ended up happening. The bruise went five and one for their season series against the Mets including a sweep at home this past weekend. So the Saturday game where we were expecting, you know, historical performance, you’re predicting for Darvish the history actually happened in Milwaukee they played in eighteen yet boring rate. Believe me eighteen eighteen baseball can get a little long. It was like watching two games. Yeah. You did talk with brewers playing. Okay. Yeah. Buddy, buddy. Well, it turned out. It’s kind of important because it was the longest game in Miller park history, which is kind of cool that was some. That’s interesting. You know, there was three sausage races three sausage races. That’s well. How’s that? How you know? We get a check on that. How our house the Theresa? Yeah. I don’t know. I haven’t been I don’t know. I don’t know where the trees those ad. I gotta check into that long season. So we I guess, you know, check them out every day. Oh, yeah. Yeah. I’ve been I don’t think I’ve checked on it wants to be honest, but I’m going to in that game. The bruise only had eleven total hits Ryan Braun actually ended up going six for eight and joins an elite group of five other Bruce hitters to have six hits in a game including Christian yelich. So that was very interesting, of course in eighteen gaining inning game. It’s a little easier to accumulate six hits. But he did have the walk off winter after the brewers went down by a run in the top half the eighteenth came back. He drove in two runs to win. So his batting average his back. His his back is as good. Well, yelich has back is good. But Horon was the one that had the head the walk off hit and went six for eight and the game. So that was so. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But that’s. Being there on a five game winning streak. They’ve got a game at noon today with the Washington nationals. They took the first two games of that series. So the brewers are up to seven and one and between the NATs and the Mets for the year really dominating the National League east and the cubs, of course of mobile yet mostly taken care of that. Yeah. We are an L east has been heavy the east. It isn’t good. So I mean, the the brewers have had a very weak schedule. That’s that’s really help out. Yeah. Yeah. Wasn’t wasn’t at the. That’s what the cubs. I don’t remember. And now, you’re losing games. Yeah. Those are the games one game one game. They lost the game to the Marlins. It counts. It’s in the standings the Bruce lost the game to the Mets. You can try and rip on me about it. But it won’t really do anything. The cool part is the Bruce have beaten all five of the Mets starters this season. That includes degrom that includes Syndergaard Zack Wheeler. So that’s kind of impressive five guys took an L against the brewers.

That is a pretty good pitching staff. So that’s something. They also have played against shirt ser. Two nights ago. They beat sherzer. And last night, they beat oh, boy, I just space on his name. Anyway, they’ve they’ve faced a lot of elite pitching is what I’m getting at. And they’ve been very good against that. It’s been exciting way too much analyst in the schedule. But it’s good because the bruise needed that break they needed to get to some weaker teams get back on a roll and they’ve done. So. Well, the yeah. I mean, the cups had faced Caleb Smith yesterday who’s been having a real good year, and they were able to handle him. So, you know. Who? He he’s been quietly having a good year. I know he’s got a two point one one Yarra. Okay. You know? Yeah. Yeah. Put them right up there with a beating Stephen Strasburg last night. That’s probably you know up there. Sure. Anyway. Yeah. Strasbourg, you know, handled him before he’s you know, he’s the handled Shire’s Strasbourg back to back nights. I don’t know. Anyway. Yeah. Yeah. It happens. Well, just goes to show you how good NL central is right now when the brewers and cubs are handling teams like that. Even if the cubs did get swept waves, you know, whatever it is even though the brewers have a negative to run differential. Yeah. The you know that that is pretty much. You win a lot of games when when you score less runs than opponent. But well in that nine and three over their last twelve chase Anderson’s finger basically exploded ten minutes before you’re supposed to take the mound. The bruise ended up having to start Jacob burns out of the bowl. Jacob burns out of the bullpen Corbin burns who was scheduled to come up and join the club. The next day got pulled in from the weight room to get into his uniform. The ended up giving I believe eleven runs that day. So two of the three losses over that ninety three stretch. Were significantly ugly. And it was really a couple of games where they were really deep and thin in the bullpen and part of it was you know, it it’s not really an excuse. But it when you’re finger basically chase Anderson basically had one of his big calluses rip off in pregame warmups. So I don’t know as Qatar player. I’ve got calluses on my fingertips when something happens to those have had one split down the middle before and it didn’t like cut, but it was super painful. So if you magin a big chunk your finger falling off, it’s pretty hard to pitch. So he’s on the injured list. So a couple of those losses are more lopsided than you know, than you’d expect them to be. But I’ve kind of said that all along last year. The Bruce didn’t have a great run differential. They’re still you know, they still won the entire National League going into the post season. So that the best record. So it’s it’s an importance that. But it definitely does not tell the whole story anyway. All right enough about that. Sure. Sure. Sure. But I’m just saying in general team that scores more runs than their opponent usually wins. Sure. Well, saying that, you know, as a general, I think I think the way baseball works whichever team scores. The most with runs usually wins the game whatever you need to do to explain away. The Bruce success, you know, so you can sleep at night without real, you know, they’re close. It doesn’t matter. Just a lot of luck. Log a week line. You know, regression bad pitch and regression. All those things, you know. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But anyway, kind of wraps up the brewers the brewers last week and a half or so chase and chase. The coding finger yellow, by the way, yelich didn’t start for six games. They went four and two without him starting. So that’s impressive as well. He is backing the peers to be fully healthy though. So well, I’m glad we’re through that. I know any cubs fans listening. You’re probably like boy that was the most boring part of the pie gas again as when Jesse gets on his high horse and high horse. You know, the cubs had that kind of slightly rough game gets the Marlins after sweeping the cardinals. And then they kinda were off a little bit. Well, yeah. The powerhouse Marlins came to town. It’s gonna be tough. All right. Well, anyways. Kyle Ryan, you know. Went came into the game later and. You know, the lead runway one run was in and comebacker. And he as a pitcher he got the ball looked at the runner. At third and. And and sit down and for some reason through the first base, which then that runs scored, given you know, he kind of froze there, and it was just a mental mistake. It was it was pretty bad. But of course, you know, Twitter’s Twitter’s going to Twitter, and, you know, some people get a little overly emotional, and and you know, it’s a long season. It’s it’s a long career. And I tell you what you know, even there’s some hall of famers that have made mental mistakes and games before. No. And that’s amazing. So yeah, everybody’s chews up. But for sure, you know, just because it’s against the Marlins and the top of the ninth game online. People get a little more motion about it for sure. For sure especially after Chris Brian had home run the bottom of that could have been the tying run. Yeah. Instead they were still down by one. And then they end up losing the game. Right. But and who knows at cub at cub prospects, he he said, please pretty pleased with sugar on top. Don’t be the sent his ass to Iowa person. So, you know, I I feel the same way. Like, you know, you know, the teams got his back. He made a mental mistake, and it happens, and yes, it we don’t even know if it costs the cost of the game because who knows you know, the appropriating affects weather Brian do the home run or nine. Goldenrod can still score. Exactly. It was a solo home run probably pitched to him differently. When it’s a one run game than I do when it’s a two run game. I right. There’s that. Yeah. I, you know, maybe maybe he doesn’t get any outs. You know? I mean, I don’t know. You know, if he’s run around third is going home. I mean, maybe you get out at home. I mean, you still got running. It’s still still got writers on base. Well, it wasn’t too out of the way this. Oh, no, it’s impossible. No. It is if he goes home how to say it looks like it could have ended up in a rundown situation. Which means you might still had guys on second third. You know with two outs. Anyway, it may have it may have not even mattered. We have no way to know. Yeah. Yeah. So so, you know to to go to that extreme where if anyone makes a mistake they should go to the minors. A lot of that. Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. We’ll Travis show. I guess in. Yeah. Yeah. Brings us into. Yeah. In more in general, you know, fickle negative fans, which we touched on, you know, Darvish I see a lot of that on on Twitter. I understand that. I, hey, he’s he’s had fifteen starts. Fifteen starts with the cubs. You know, half of them with lingering injuries or other issues going on. I’m not about the towel in. I mean, we’re already in. We’re in that money. I what are you gonna do? What are you going to do? I’m Ed rather ad rather be you’re going to be optimistic. Darvish apologises what you’re going to do. That I’ve been I’ve been called that before do, you know, I’ll gladly admit. I I have no problem in meeting. It’s a terrible contract. And it was a failure. Theo made a mistake. I’ll gladly admit that. But not yet not yet. You know, give it a the rest of this season for sure if not even possibly some next season. Now, if you know, another fifteen starts, come and go, and and it’s the same old while yes, I will I will start to join those who are frustrated now, but it’s too early, and, you know, in any way, anyways, it just comes to that. You know, I I like to be optimistic and realistic. And it’s, you know, seasons are long, and you know, we’ll see and. Yeah, you’ve had you’ve had your share that to earlier was was terrible. Yeah. You know, there’s been strong. There was talk about. And Jesus yards. Like, are you kidding me? You wanna d you want to just drop them and kick them to the curb and move over and bring up here.

And yeah, yeah. Yeah. I get it. It’s frustrating to watch. But this teams like this teams in really good position right now. It’s okay. It’s way early Travis Shah more than likely will turn it around. One of the biggest examples I just thought of what we were talking was Corbin burns basically had three starts and everybody wanted to kick him to the curb never give him another start again come on. Now. This guy’s got four. Pretty dang. Good pitches. They were trying to do too much with them. They sent him to the minors Corbett burns apologised. Well, he’s had three starts in his career. I think it’s a little safer than you. Darvish apologists. Okay. Hey, that’s not that Jarvis doesn’t have that many more. If you don’t count the ones where he is probably pitching injured. Doesn’t have them any more than that the eighth year of his career. I’m just saying give Gordon burns a chance down the road to be a starter. But anyway, it hasn’t worked out real. Well, he’s back to the bullpen. That’s made a lot of people happy. I don’t mind seeing him out of the bullpen. I just wanted to make sure they didn’t. They don’t hurt his future potential as a starter. But you gotta win. Now. It’s a hard balance. I understand why they’re doing I understand. Why fans are rooting for it? But there are people ready to put him in the bullpen before they even gave him the opportunity to start because they know x y z about pitching, and they’re all smarter than David Stearns. And. Yeah, just let’s right. Let’s let’s understand these guys really do. No more than us. They do. It’s fun to Beck and measure, but they do. Yeah. Oh, I know it’s it’s fun to do that. But yeah, I mean, usually we’re going to be wrong. We’re we’re wrong usually. Yeah. It’s your specially. Well, yeah. And I like to think I’m right all the time. It usually is about fifty fifty you. Go ahead and look at my Twitter profile, I admit that. I just don’t want to be. I don’t wanna be the reactionary knee-jerk guy. I don’t enjoy that. Yeah. Yeah. You know, I really think Corbin burns down the road is gonna be really plus starter in this league. If they use him out of the bullpen for the majority of this year. I’m also with that now that they’ve got GO kansallis now that you know, Jimmy Nelson is throwing a real living people. You know, it’s not, you know, pitching in a cage somewhere anymore. I’m okay with it. But yeah, just don’t like the negativity. The immediately give up, you know. Oh my gosh. She can’t get through three innings yada. Yada. Yada. Relax. Yeah. Yeah. I’d be more prone to I would have been more prone to put Freddie Peralta in the bullpen. He came out after Adrian Hauser through two innings yesterday and win a solid few innings and looked good doing it. They’re figuring out how to use this rotation. Yeah. Anyway. Yeah. It was big, you know, cardinals cardinals cubs rivalry is a big big rivalry. But I I gotta say this specific season this particular season that this weekend series coming up Cup. Some brewers is is actually even bigger and more important. I think so I’m right now, I think the cardinals specially especially how the cubs handle the cardinals. Like, no problem. You can’t you gotta let them play through through at to certain grade if we get to June one and drivers pitting under the Mendoza line. Then you got to do something. Then I totally agree. And then you’re also past and then then it might be see I mean, if you play half to start playing them less because because they’re ally ability than then it might make sense to send them send him down right at that. Well, you know, if it’s really then because then they can get the at bats. And maybe get get clicked back in. Yes. And in that case to that would allow the super to rule to be surpassed for one Casten hero who is one of the hottest minor league prospects in baseball right now. I think he’s ranked around nineteenth. He’s already over ten home runs for the minor league season in thirty games yet. Ten home runs hitting a high average over three thirty. So that I think is also part of the reason people are getting shorter leash want. They wanna shorter lease with Shaw. Everybody wants to see here in the big leagues. You know, you know, what what what’s too bad is is Pedro Strope has had to basically kind of be the closer. And I I don’t think that’s a good role for him. You know, that that really Brandon Moro who still going to be out for a while fits that Bill much better. But you know, we’ve had to do it. We’ve had to do and page Strope, you know, I- he is he’s incredibly good set up pitcher. He’s he’s he’s been one of the most consistent bullpen pieces for the cubs for, you know, while I was what seven almost I think seven seasons ago he came. He came with Jake Arrieta, which we’re gonna talk about. That true. But yeah, I mean he’s had an under under three ERA every season with the cubs extremely consistent. But most of that has been as a setup pitcher. And I think he just he gets baby gets in his head a little bit when he’s closing. He did not have very good outing. The sure so, you know, that’s that’s still a little bit of an issue. But the bullpen in general has been a little bit better. And the starters have really really stepped it up. You know can Tana Kyle Hendricks, of course, had that incredible performance. You know, shut out in what eighty one pitches, which is crazy like joking. I like he should have been the opener for the game the next day’s still have more pitches in right, right? Mr. Mr. historic prediction, you missed it. Even though I wasn’t in favor of it seems like it’s going to you know, straightened some things out junior garra has rediscovered himself in the bullpen. He was a guy. I think the Bruce signed to the Italian baseball league here three or four years ago was the starting opening day starter couple of seasons ago. Didn’t have agree. Eight year kind of got bumped to the bullpen. And now, he’s really finding some some life out there. He’s got a couple saves on the air. If that comes through that will tell you there’s been a big change in how the the brewers are. Getting both the pitching for both teams were struggling quite a bit at the last time. I do intimidate -ticipant in general lower scoring games. I mean, I mean. Yeah. Those were. Yeah. It was pretty crazy. Yeah. I would I would agree. We should probably get into the predictions. No hitter last night. And he’s only the thirty fifth pitcher to throw two no hitters, which is really interesting. Mike. Fires was traded to Houston with Carlos Gomez at the time. The. Original deal was with the Mets. It was supposed to be Gomez an- Andy Martino so going to the Mets Mike fires wasn’t even supposed to be included. They’re supposed to get back. Zack Wheeler and Wilmer Flores didn’t happen at the time. A lot of Bruce fans were pretty disappointed that didn’t go through because there’s a lot of hope for Wheeler Wheeler, obviously is an excellent pitcher. It didn’t happen. The Mets back out on health issues on Gomez is a really weird thing. Because the deal was set. I remember watching. I remember watching Wilmer Flora’s crying in the dugout because he thought he was leaving New York. Anyway, long story short. They ended up having to send them down to Houston. They got back Brett Phillips one. Josh hater, one Domingo Santana and Adrian Hauser Brett Phillips ended up tuning turning into Mike Mustafa’s Domingo’s Santana has now turned into mat Gamel. I would say the brewers did just fine. Getting a max deal out of Carl Carlos Gomez. Although Mike fires has gone on to be a very steady kind of middle of the road starter certainly somebody they could use now. But I’d rather have hater. I’d. Rather have moose? I’d rather have Gammel at this point. But just ninety miles. Their former brewer Mike fires throwing annot last night for the Oakland A’s. Did you say what did you say? His pitch something ridiculous to wasn’t it like one thirty something one thirty three year something like that. Amazing. It was it was over one thirty which that’s that’s crazy. Don’t see that much. But you know, you have a no hitter go, right? I guess, and I think his managers still Bob Melvin that’s where you’re gonna. That’s only way. You’ll that’s only way you’re ever gonna see those kind of pitch counts. And I think is other. I thought I read something that his other. No hitter was like one thirty some pitches to interesting. Yeah. So when he’s got a gone Mike fires you’ll sell it. I remember him pitching for the breweries pretty solid for sure I think his manager. I think the as managers Bob Melvin who’s a little more of an old school guy. So it doesn’t surprise me that he let them go one hundred and thirty some pitches with the no modern guys I’ve seen guys getting six seventh inning when they haven’t given up a hits or, you know, been really excellent already. Yeah. Last couple of seasons. So so it is rare to see one hundred thirty some pitches. And a obviously of see some. Threw two no hitters so good on. Mike. Fires. Congratulations. So all three of those teams should be looking at some more losses. I would say I would I would say arguably, the, well, I think the Phillies and cardinals are about the same level. Pittsburg Texas kinda interesting Cincinnati has a great run differential. But here’s why run differential doesn’t matter their fifteen and twenty one plus twenty one on run differential. So you know, you can look at a statistic like S R s it’s basically strength scheduled plus run differential. They put him right there with Milwaukee. I think it’s pretty clear. Milwaukee wins swept the reds the reds much. Worse record run differential is a small portion of. Story. And. Yeah, as far as the rest of the NL central it doesn’t matter.
