welcome to the new best rivalry in baseball hello again baseball fans welcome to the ninety miles podcast if this is your first time joining us hey welcome aboard it’s good to have you along be prepare yourself here’s some smacktalk because that’s kind of the idea and see this is all about the brewers versus the chicago cubs at ninety miles from wrigley to miller park it regularly homey regularly regularly north you mean oh are we starting this already now or start now yeah you’re not gonna i suppose unicol at wrigley north when it’s amfam field next year to write ’cause you’re oh yeah well yeah it’s not even jerk face yeah she’s changing you know that that helps that helps that helps further established as wrigley north really you know yeah everybody’s gonna forget how knock it off the first you know ninety feet from first the second which christian yelich is awesome at stealing by the way anders yeah it’s true of course those were the kosovo zaken saco so you know what he’s good at stealing basis yeah he was a forty forty member and that’s something more nugget into yeah yeah a little bit better well it’s kind of fascinating and watch the pace yellows on anyway anyway were getting off track called ray yeah today were were covered a lot of ground were leading up to the all star game which is very cool it’s the mid summer classic a so is a it’s usually a good time you know i always cut it but we’ve got four brewers verschoor three cubs for sure and there may be a couple of pieces added as we go that’ll be fascinating to talk about we wanna have some fun with that but yeah this is the ninety miles podcast basically we just wanna talk smack about the cubs and brewers and like i said about the brutal do that today oh okay well today i’m gonna actually get called out supposedly on something i said that ryan thanks is ridiculous i do and i don’t think there’s anything ridiculous about it of course we’re gonna cover oh yeah right whatever and then bring it covers some a some weak and some reds nl central breakdown this week should be kind of fun yeah we got a we got some predictions the review and preview a you know it’s just gonna be a good time but anything you wanna start with today ryan anything you wanna cover that were gonna be covering here in the next old forty five minutes or so oh i you know i dunno i think a while the nl central will be undressing was at five and a half game difference now between first and last that’s and i do believe so yeah ’em so that’ll be interesting but yeah i you know we’re gonna talk about not only some all stars but also some a a very poor performances for the brewers so far yeah he’s an yeah as well the originally this who’s gonna be the suck episode try not to suck up a sign on we realize yeah yeah we all know that that is a joe madden line isn’t it forgotten that all day every day where there is a few cubs players so far this season that didn’t try hard enough to not suck m f yeah slowly funny ruis layers that that were trying very hard to not suck to so well they were trying in the more they tried the worse it seemed again yeah it’s really interesting the parallels these two clubs of a have run already the course of the season we’ve covered in many many episodes i think this is episode thirty one is a matter of fact feel free to go back and are history in check out some previous episodes especially the last couple of three weeks there’s a little bit more of a time listeners to the show in season episodes we also do something called the stretch where we talk about historical segments and facts and figures from from milwaukee and chicago seasons past don’t forget the check that out but yeah the suck episode a oh yeah oh let’s get into it i guess that if we have to if we have to why don’t you why don’t you leadoff today who’s been sucking for the cubs the season i mean besides the whole team they well enemy keep up with the brewers so i mean if you wanna talk about hitters a unfortunately daniel neil the scale so has not had a very good year he’s a he’s a he’s batting one eighty six right now a moved up to two eighty five ob p e m you know it’s yeah a little a a that’s a little frustrating you know he had a good a good start ’em you know he’s he’s a a veteran player you know and it’s like well ’em there is some some hope there a middle yeah you brought him the cubs brought him in to be a bit of utility player correct yeah he’ll in some spots fill in some holes and then unfortunately he ended up getting a kind of forced into starting in forced into a bigger role and maybe what they had brought him into be yeah yeah i mean his first a let’s see first eighty for example is first eighty six plate appearances ’em to sixty three batting average seven fifty seven oh ps like okay for the role he was playing i’d take that you know right yeah a very reasonable numbers for you’re utility guy absolutely yeah yeah a you know i whereas you know obviously since then ’em since then it’s been ninety four plate appearances he batted one thirteen oh with up to twenty six ob p one thirty eight slugging percentage and at three sixty three oh ps a civil he and he and travis shaw almost went to the same off season camp because a yeah yeah travis shaw i’m a fan of travis yeah i just been not not and travis shaw’s year i think we’ve kind of beaten to death to be honest with you but you have talked about travis shaw i you know i daniel well more optimistic sick about i mean he especially ’cause he started good i mean that first month really wasn’t bad mike okay that’ll work you know and he had some clutch hits and some things but then it was just all of a sudden down the tubes so so yeah well one of the reasons we’ve talked about travis shaw so much well there’s two reasons really hey if you’re new to the show basically all we do is trained rip on each other’s teams and pump up her own team’s today were kind of owning a little bit of our own history a little bit of our own team’s crap basically travis shaw before he was sent down in casting here it was brought up he finished and i don’t know if he’s coming back up the season her not hopefully gets turned around but he is batting one sixty four his on base was to seventy eight yeah i see the us slugging under three hundred for a guy that’s supposed to hit thirty thirty two oh yeah i’m sorry travis shaw defenders but i think even i don’t think too many are their job defenders are there traffic defenders i you should’ve seen sweater while yeah well here’s the thing i like travis shaw and i understand being a fan of the guy in the locker room chemistry in the but there is so much so much much wanting to just let him work it out at the big league level well you you’ve been you’ve been doing this podcast with me since february okay yes you’ve heard me pulling my hair out about travis shaw probably since the beginning of metal yeah you know what like i can’t remember the last time i’ve heard his name brought up in any kind of a positive light so a yeah i would have been like episodes sixers seven podcast maybe you know i right i mean the way murder of hope maybe well yeah we were previewing the lineups you look at that lineup the way it was supposed to be you know cain yell at such a big deal are you know shaab braun who stock as it sounded like it sounded incredible an actually it’s still still a pretty good lineup now that shaw’s down any heroes up but anyway a jesus aguilar’s another one that struggled to the brewers i did want to mention one thing you said the scales had a really really rough year and he’s been struggling a lot he did pitch better than craig kimbrel the other day oh well okay i had i had no no no no no no no this kelso this kelso pitch better then kimberly other day i mean statistically police speaking right just wanna throw that happen well after scale so has some experience pitching and blowouts that wasn’t the first time in fact i heard a when i was a watching the game i can’t remember as watcher is on the radio but they did mentioned that the scale so actually has pitched against the cubs a couple of times a even going back to something like two thousand eight or something and then like and then like two thousand a twelve hour some i remember off the top of my head but you know he had some experience pitching and blowouts kimbrel does not not dimension kimbrel you know it’s just he was just in there getting some work so you know i’m not i’m not concerned well that wasn’t so okay sure but but then if you’re gonna say that when when your team is up fifteen defy like the pirates were with josh bell in just getting some work my so probably yeah i joe yeah just getting some working no prize anyway adding practice off of scale so and well you know what i did bring up the scale so pitching for a reason yeah it was the obviously good at you about craig kimbrel ’cause that’s fun but to was because aaron on perez was also one of the the casualties of the season for the brewers santa shaw is really is really disappointing to see aaron on go a a great locker room presents a very good i mean he’s really an excellent baseball player he just didn’t have the bat this year he didn’t have a going the brewers have struggled so much against left handed pitching that they had to make a couple of moves an yeah well he was he was a better in casually oh boy press was fun to watch it i got it by any and all that stuff earlier this year yeah well i mean the same thing with the scouts though he was a better on twitter there a lot of cubs fans say jeez eighty but the scales on the bullpen you know yes pres wasn’t that good here’s his his his heater was in the seventies and i yeah i could do more if you want it to be just preferred watching you to been doing a highlight kick and having some fun with it which oh yeah it was really what the team needed in lady lady i’m just waiting i only move to the next day he didn’t do the kimbrel though and when he was doing impersonations did he i don’t think so no you didn’t kick and yeah there are buddies d f eight so i guess a that that so yeah it was sad to see him go a a i have a lot of good memories of her known as h h they adam well you should they should have adam be an opener okay smart guy a rather one that struggled a lot of hey sues aguilar he’s had some moments where he’s kind of come back around hope yeah confined what what’s going on earlier this year but on the bright side eric fame’s is been smoking hot as of late a very very very nice turnaround for him but this was the the sucks episode so i gotta keep in mind egg you i see ben two three the yes three sixteen slugging ’em in he’s one that normally has some power right well he had twenty some home runs before they all star break last year yeah you get down to it he was the first staff also or the the first half a yes he was an all star to but he was also the first half mvp from milwaukee yes you remember this not been the same guy over the last season at all and i don’t know i don’t know exactly what’s going on their it didn’t get fixed by the hitting coach last season and it hasn’t gotten fixed yet this year will see what happens like i said though the good news is eric themes is really stepping up in only to and and twentyfive plate appearances his oh ps is all the way up to nine thirty to a two seventy three batting average themes is having i think pretty easily his best season as hebrew were a once you take that very first years month of april out yeah easily his best season so hey i don’t know what’s going on there a he’s not been good but yeah that well i covered the brewers at of suck well the pitching staff problems to you you’re talking about you’re sucky cubs fermented well yeah and i think we’re gonna reserve the pitching staff four we do have people who saw i guess that’s a whole nother thing this episode of beyond three hours long if we add that that’s what position players on the you know they’re not trying hard enough to not suck episode but a cargo ’em yeah that didn’t work out a he would have been there i i don’t know but a you know forty nine plate appearances batting one seventy five so yeah that’s not gonna cut it either now that doesn’t make the cut a you’ve got guys in the minor leagues that could do better than that so yeah yeah that it’s sad ’em cargo is one of my i think he’s been a very fun baseball player watch over the course of his great years in colorado yeah i really enjoyed watching him in the post season a so it’s sad when a guy’s career starts to do what it’s doing maybe he can get it turned around and make one more good run at it next year hopefully for his case that could happen yeah and i you know i i just mentioned a couple other position players that i wouldn’t say they’re not at the level of scale so or or cargo you know but but have not played i think up to their their mean a book on a couch or over addison russell and a albert amora ’em offensively of all now moro’s shows of spark see you know feel a little better about about him i think addison russell spent two forty eight that’s a hunter and thirty seven plate appearances ’em you know he’s got a seven twenty nine opie s m now sure bradley’s he’s got seven ninety seven opie s it’s a little better now more of those six eighty six oh ps a buddy is batting two fifty four you know a shorter does have eighteen home runs so there’s that ’em slugging gives the boost a booster has oh ps that’s where yeah that’s where all of his opiates his on base plus slugging from yeah out isis three twenty six i will you’ll love shorter but come on well in like two it’s been this way for a couple of years there’s been some sparks i don’t know i don’t know anyways you know that that that hey here’s one that i would have probably mentioned in the previous couple of years jason heyward and said i’m not mentioning him because he’s batting to seventies gotta eight twenty seven oh ps yes he’s got fourteen home runs ’em he’s and then he had a he is i think he already earned is gold glove and right field he’s made some incredible place you know especially in the last week so that that’s a bright spot spot at least on but let’s talk about let’s talk about all stars so you think so yeah you should do a little all star work here well we i mean that’s just who are representing are teams position players ’em andrea yeah so you know most okay no you know as far as starters the cubs got to a hobby by as in wilson controllers both made it in as starters and then they also got a kris bryant is also going which he’s gender having a you know quietly been having a very a very good year a he’s got a nine twentyone opie s right now kris bryant ’em you know he’s got sixteen home runs a band to to eighty five ’em yeah you know that well there’s statistically you know they’re having pretty solid years of the brewers obviously yell at each who is perhaps the best baseball player in the league right now a certainly the national league he’s got very strong case if not all of baseball then moose in grand doll grand doll who should be starting instead of conspiracy but we already had right oh whatever my mind it’s market size yeah yeah small market milwaukee oh crap oh i in the market my trailer is is like this is the second smallest market and sports next of the green bay packers anyway he may i know he’s got eight eight ninety five ps grand doll does conspiracy conspiracy has a nine thirty four seventeen home runs the grand doll or size eighteen home runs okay find whatever anyway both of them are deserving of all star appearances obviously is is is well hey let’s let’s take one moment hard on yeah it’s true i hardly talked it’s about oh riots hardly well i mean he comes up but gee whiz not i don’t think he comes up as much as hobby by as does virginia say gee whiz well what else am i supposed friendly podcast oh yeah you know what i mean we’re this is just a phone call you know what i’d say it’s a different story well it’d be unhappy soda deadwood if this is a phone call right now we well it’s not quite that that’s not usually that bad right on the text line gets that would hey you’re you’re brother holy crap a but anyway so since the all star break last year christian yelich has fifty six home runs a that’s in less than the season’s worth of games it’s a it’s an incredible pace that he’s is on a he’s got the opportunity to win the home run derby this year he will be participating he’d be the first since prince fielder if he can pull it off and he’d be the third reigning mvp to win and after ken griffey junior inferring that some pretty pretty high company hey man fifty six home runs since last year’s all star break that is ridiculous pays over course of one year there’s there’s nothing i can remember a in i’ve been around for a while but i don’t remember season like this for any brewer player in history he’s it’s been it’s been incredible to watch but i had a you know but he’s got the potential to be a forty forty guy he could be the fifth forty forty guy and he’d probably be the first one to do it clean a cause other four names are a little less a well known for perhaps aiding themselves occasionally well i would be the it’s too bad that that it’s unlikely he’ll get the mvp of ballenger keeps doing what he’s doing doing goes well are you serious right now i actually got better he’s got better numbers and bellenger and a lot of ways yeah but i mean if you look at war ballenger six point six geologist four point six i mean my god six point six that’s like that’s almost mvp level of for an entire season for war he’s got that now okay now i’m just i’m just well deflating you know you’re go a little bit about yeah let’s i know you wanna bring about knocking out okay well hold on you know injures tailed off senses basic historic april a it’s not been the same guy like adding yellowish leads in slugging percentage on base percentage yeah i wonder does have the edge a you know and then there’s the thirty one home runs in the fact that yellow just basically carrying a team will bellenger hits in the lineup that’s pretty rich and also has that through pitching so the brewers those are pretty bad other than yellowish so i’ll agree with you there there’s there’s a game ahead of the cubbies okay well if they were as good as i was saying before the season started they should be seven games up right now so don’t settle located yeah well if there’s betty’s you’ve been saying since the beginning of the year shouldn’t the cubs be pulling away with history allow it’s wrong with sucky cubs all right this sucks episode is sucking the life out of me right now yeah good i yeah good outcome on anyway we’ve got some great guys only all star game hater will be in the bullpen which would be nice a city all star manager have a an in arm like that out there then again it’s all star game is gonna be a lot of great players there are the cubs did the cubs have anybody lined up as far as pitching goes to be on the all star team or not at this point i not that i know of and i i don’t i they’ve announced that now right i i think so well i know haters and i didn’t look deceive a cubs pitcher made it no ida but no i don’t i think that was the only all stars the the three okay well the brewers got for all serves the cubs got three i guess that’s why the brewers it better so we’ve talked a bit about obviously the the good side and the talking the free agent closer craig kimbrel sources telling me and robert murray who man doesn’t that sound nice hello a it’s a rumor an i dunno i’d rather i’d rather see a max we come to the cubs but full of course he would but it’s it’s more than a rumor i feel like it’s more like a nightmare for you know i wouldn’t know threats that i mean you know i think i’ve gotta come still have that it’s not you know i you know maybe maybe dan what’s kimbrel you give the cubs yet oh yeah yeah yeah hater knievel kimbrel maybe jeffress if his arm is good in that boat elders bouncing the oh that’s all they got that god is the yeah yeah the best bullpen in the league well there you go so now we know or kimbrel landed and a it was i thought that was pretty funny here oh giddy you were but a lot of kimbrel landing with the brewers a you know you hear how terrified you sounded though i pretty much nailed it that was your worst nightmare scenario amount that bullpen that would have been the worst worst nightmare turned into a dream come true so you know dream come true dreams at the end you told me that’s all the brewers had yet they don’t have corey can able they don’t have craig kimbrel but they do have a one game leading and the division yeah but they have a terrible bullpen so you know terrible bullpen no they don’t yeah they won’t let the bullpen is actually a pretty decent it’s been pretty good lately lately while they do have the best bullpen guy in basically baseball at this point in josh hater now that makes a big difference however what i was talking about then that did sound pretty exciting but obviously work over the brewers and kimbrel ’em i think rate after that episode is win corey can able found out he was gonna need tommy john surgery a the brewers had kimbrel elbow checked out and suddenly talks fell apart i don’t know what happened there a i’ve got some theories but i’m not and it just be them out here but a okay i didn’t think i said i don’t think i said anything ridiculous in that at all this this whole podcast is about giving each other a hard time that had to be scaring the crap out of you on march twentieth oh but yeah but the whole story is turned earned in an i just wanna point out ’cause you you downplayed the cubs game kimbrel quite a bit you know yeah like you know a cubs needed board the division kimbrel you know yeah yeah yeah back back at that time you were reading the school has ended up on the brewers back then you would have you know you would have been all over me on that well they would have been there all of their would have been obvious i wouldn’t been all about the future hall of famer business but i would have oh yeah that is if cables healthy and they have kimbrel that’s a nightmare the game’s over after five innings and that’s why i was excited i mean i was excited because the brewers bullpen what’s coming back and then appeared to be relatively healthy jefferson’s had struggles knievel goes out tommy john you’re down to basically hater and you know alex claudio in matt albers who are not a i mean elders is having actually pretty dang good year two years ago he was excellent with washington last year terrible the brewers were getting by and they’re still in the leading the division imagine if they you know had knievel that would be the brewers bullpen is averaging so far this season four point nine runs allowed per game per nine innings or yeah per game yeah nine innings okay the bullpen yeah that’s below league average yes four point eight one cubs are four point four eight and i i would admit that their bullpen has not been great so the the brutal but i’m not worse i’m not saying the brewers bullpen has been great at all the pitching has been okay why now going back to clip but what i’m saying is you were saying with kimbro that’s the best bullpen in the national league and i would argue that it would it took more than kimbrel to a waiting but the way that ball it would’ve taking naval kimbrel hater all working together jeffress doing what he’s doing this year extra jeffers is just fine yeah and then you’ve got bobby wall that ended up getting hurt and spring there is a bunch of things they went sideways very early on that milwaukee bullpen it went from one of the best bullpens in the national league if not the best last year to middle towards the bottom half of the of the league no doubt it did a it didn’t need kimbrel to be one of the best it was already one of the best they were putting on strength was what i was saying right it would be a nightmare you you get to the sixth inning you’ve got those four guys in your bullpen holy cats that’s crazy well now it’s your nightmare because kim rose on the so that this this show every week my nightmare hey i have a great idea for a podcast ryan how what we just rip the crap out of each other’s teams every week and feel like you said yeah right idea gertie here we are already one episode later saying yes it’s been good it’s it has been good have you know what good on the cubs were going out and getting kimbrel i’m glad the brewers did not pay what the cubs paid that much further further for him for wet weather is not a girls earns all it’s worth they’re not a closer in baseball worth eighteen million bucks a year of future all the way any about that some total lockdown ninth inning not what he is he already talked about this kelso pitch them oh my god that was a blowout easy and some work i you know will i guess hey time will tell on that if the if the if the cubs didn’t have a history of overpaying paying guys i wouldn’t be so hard on you about this now they do have that history they don’t look really not really you darvish you darvish oh time will tell on that you darvish is jason heyward second year contract only the second year the contract it’s a dead money contract for five full years i love it oh see isn’t this podcast fun right yeah well were were i got a lot what i said to say about it on the cubs resigning kimbrel a good jobs oh no we need you know what you’re gonna do when haters arm falls off in august year you know how on well i’m just saying you know there’s they hey i think the brewers bullpen has not been great and i think it will get worse when hater starts the get exhausted you know they’re working pretty good you know i don’t know what you mean about getting exhausted humid a low in the postseason two and a third innings you no one no one and two thirds innings you know he’s he’s you know well when he’s in he does pitch longer difficult closure he’s not the argument we’ve been having having on twitter they argument we’ve been having on this podcast josh hater is more valuable bullpen peace and craig kimbrel and i’m not even talking contract way oh i’m not even bility i’m not gonna do this again no you’re wrong on that so a twitter friend will probably give me some crap about that chino name all the time otherwise i don’t even know what season of his life a but he didn’t give up a run in the postseason either any settled back down in september so i’m not really overly concerned every pitcher actually goes through a stretch where they’re not feeling their best right would you agree with that i just a you know you’re you’re all on the hater train you know it’s like well yell at you and hater of the best things happening to this brewers team they’re the only good things in in in haters gonna trail offer sure encoding balancers gonna win the mvp so you know whatever i don’t know the mvp anymore i wanna see one of his own he’s already got you know ballenger wasn’t on the year you talk about is backed back mvp christian yelich blah blah blah but now you don’t care at all along on twitter anyway okay i care but he had right i was what i was getting at before yet so rudely interrupted is that i would care more about getting deepen the post season winning the world series and i do about the mvp now okay all right plus a forty forty year would be super cool he’s got up the stolen bases just a little bit well facto zaken saco you know maybe some steroids would help that out but he’d be the first clean guided do it theoretically right yeah what they can saco i i definitely remember when he did that which is pretty great alphonso soriano did it a i think he had failed test at one point or another i’m trying to cubs in the reds recently didn’t wasn’t there a kerfuffle yeah well that was on june twenty ninth they play the reds a and m yeah i guess it was a cubs won six nothing that game but any bottom of the eighth inning two outs pedro strope was in in a hit pleading the left leg with the three oh fastball ’em up we wasn’t too happy about it obviously a so we you know what a beauty yeah benches cleared you know all that nothing nothing to physical happened but you know a lot of guys yelling at each other and then once the team gets out there yelling hold be back right yeah yeah basically yeah i think the funniest part of it though was the post game interviewer strobe called tweak a stupid about sixty times you know and anyways you know as we expected some you know joey votto actions one that really got in there and kinda got in you know in front of grabbed a tweak and just really kinda i guess you know i you know basically is down in the calm down you know we need you don’t you know well that do anything stupid is what a what a while that is what any good canadian would do ready yeah yeah let’s go yeah sale going on now a isn’t just near the reds complete jerk this this year they it’s a it’s say seems to be a very interesting mix of players kind of a bell doing over there yeah this is so weird well he followed by old guys are saying that hair i dunno william you the reds being pretty good this year which i agreed they could be i had the reds being very explosive in the sense that they might just implode all of this is coming through in the last few weeks like i could see them being a really good baseball team and and see them absolutely being total eight holes to each other in studio posing team derek dietrich what is what’s that guy sixers elbow in gets hit what six seven times in the brewers series and we add a home run he oh does he a look at his home run balls he hasn’t hit lately i think is average is down in the two thirties this team is a i kinda hate the reds a lot right now yeah i mean they’re you know they’re back the hate him i expected to be entertained by him i mean we look ahead you know we’ve talked about by the gore in win loss in the end and a pass the gory in lock you know their negative seven they you know but as a guard when las has some at forty six and thirty seven ’em yeah so that’s a i mean it is there’s it’s sort of like there’s some powerful forces that on that team it’s got you know this huge potential but it’s just something kind of buckling buckling and kind of keeping them where they’re at worst pit boulders pittsburgh’s beginning yeah go ahead well pittsburgh’s in playing better lately but you know for a lot of the season i think they they were winning a little more then they probably should their past the guardian luck is a positive it’s three thirty eight forty six that you know ’em so i dunno i mean those two are are fairly even but they’re not far back you know and that’s a weird thing i mean you got you got the central is not doing we i thought it would do no brewers there in first cubs are one game back cardinals are three and a half pit karl urban awful lately pittsburgh is for back if i’m not mistaken the cards have lost six of seven games over the last bit of a stretch here a reason that the cubs and brewers they’re still at the top of the division yeah there shouldn’t be any seven the last ten yeah yeah the other thing i wanted to say to and what i forgot what it was is regarding oh you’re talking about the pit but they were talking about the run differential by the guardian why can i say yeah whatever but i this is my whole argument with whom we’ve we did a run differential a stretch episode go back and check it out i think there is some good points i kinda listen to some of it last night it was a good argument i don’t think this red team is as good as the run differential at all they pitch very well but they’re very up and down with the bats when they hit they hit a ton they play in a ballpark that’s basically a bandbox christian yelich has thirty one home runs he should probably have thirty he hit one down the left field line that was basically a pop out in any ballpark but that one and it made it into the room it’s a it’s one of those stadiums that it’s gonna inflate you’re runs quite a bit if you think well and they are quote unquote hitter’s park you notice cincinnati their tournament see that either twenty two nineteen at home in seventeen in twentyfive on the road ’em sure so that i’m i’m amazed that they pitches well in that ballpark i i’m always they pitch as well as they do in that ballpark a good for derrick johnson move making the move toward his hometown area but yeah the reds i dunno i hate him right now entertaining though i hate watching games with it feels like everything’s gonna go against yeah yeah yeah wretches now but it just talking about the guardian luck a little bit the brewers icier positive three a that the garden when laws as a matter of forty three forty three rate of five hundred whereas the cubs forty eight thirty eight m and they have a negative three right now and the end it’s true there they have had some luck a go against against them ’em lately there have been some gumbo squads yeah oh yeah we’ve talked about it before when the brewers lose they lose big but when they win they win tight ballgame with a lot of the the brewers and the cubs are both eight twelve the last twenty games so yeah neither one deserves to be at the top of this division yet here we sit so imagine when these two teams are playing well again the brewers pitching is starting to turn the corner of i had a review i had a production with adrian hauser that didn’t go right for me i didn’t win it but he did look very good in his second start through five innings and then in the sixth inning he couldn’t get anything go his way but a the brewers pitching staff is is turning a corner which i’m excited to see maybe chris hook is starting to get comfortable is pitching coach maybe grand doll is getting used to the staff there is a lot of moving parts of me off season for that but a that reminds me a oh we should probably door production segment huh yeah ’em we should okay so lucky that all right we got a new theme song here we go top hat or holding you darvish off my guts and i’m going with my heart i’m going theresa a runs beginning june fifth through the rest of june ’em he’s he fell seven short he hits three in that span so a so yeah i’m not having much luck with a home run on a prediction but yeah well that oh that reminds me yeah we have i have another woman got a bunch all star break one this year coming up a cast in here at ten plus home runs a he might do it yet hey he’s got florida go he hit another one a couple of nights ago in cincinnati it’s not over until it’s silver right yeah though how many rooms the left before the break let’s see here the brewers got one two three four five he just needs his foreign five games it’s totally doable unlikely but if they had left him up instead of shaw i bring it shaw backup i would be sitting pretty on that prediction but well chris brian five plus home runs a well i think he has a hit nine home runs in the next five games well that one so that one likely that it’s not impossible okay honorably just save these pre yeah will wrap up after the all star break were they have a lot cover and it’s okay yeah you know how smart we are more like how stupid we are but also don’t forget we are asking the fan base the listeners out there what you think maybe baseball with thirty one home runs this season i am predicting that he wins the home run derby i know it’s not that outlandish but it is one guy out of eight there’s gonna be eight dudes hitting we know of six so far we got yellowish pete alonzo the rookie from the mets and i don’t mean never mind i meant hot hitting rookie from the mets right josh bell who has been well the cubs fans were familiar with josh bills work a ronald kunia junior will be hitting vlad guerrero junior that’ll be kind of fun to watch carlos santana will be the hometown hero going for the cleveland indians that’s what they all star game is this year and there will be two more added to it is christian yelich winning the home run derby a bold enough prediction though i don’t think i think if i had said this at the beginning of last season nobody would’ve ever thought christian yelich would be the leading home run hitter you know baseball yeah i hear you know the home run derby such a weird thing in so i a sure sure a ball it’s bold bold enough i mean it is a different thing you know right i wouldn’t say he’s a one in eight shot but i would say it’s probably more like a one in five irwin in six and really with our predictions if you’re new we try to get it around something like we try to make them pretty tough the actually get correct i think of one oh five one in six chances a pretty tough shot a you could say he might be fifty fifty i don’t think so but you know i mean josh bell is a monster vladimir could do something crazy pete alonzo and then there’s two more guys coming i dunno bellenger declined or if he’s gonna do it there’s another guy oh yeah so so that’s what i’m going with christian yelich to win the home run derby it’s a ninety miles prediction keeps it nice and clean another one to wrap up but they all star break yeah ’em i i’m going to a i’m gonna go ahead and make a all star game prediction new cubs don’t have anyone in the home run derby that’s fine ’em a but i’m gonna go at the game i am going to predict now i have i do have one already and i’ll do have one already yeah who’s gonna be the all star game mvp i said a cubs player will be named the all star game mvp a well i did okay which one ’em that was bowl back in a still pretty bold bowling i would only ran kind of random random and i think the randomness is the boldness of it because oh for sure so i’m lauren is predicting it’d be kinda similar in in randomness sense a is what makes it boiled i’m gonna say that a hobby by as will hit a home run in the all star game okay there you go that bold enough that is oh yeah yeah i’m not sure if it’s predicting a guy hit a home run in any game is is it’s pretty bold yeah any game early but i yeah yeah especially in all star game i in some ways but i i do feel like the way the kind of player he is a you know he i think he he likes the vikings adrenaline in the fun of will he’ll just really have fun with that is i i’m just gonna go with my gut here that go with my heart sure yeah javier by the true reason right yeah so oh go yeah so there’s are productions i think i think that was pretty good a hobby could do it i would’ve predicted more like he strikes out twice going down to a new one time that you that’s me and he might do that too but i but then it would over onto so no yeah well he’s gonna hit a one hopper over the fence who knows i don’t even know what he’s gonna do why do i could get a win to predictions that if he does hit a home run maybe there’s a chance he gets yeah humidity as well so we’ll see although it doesn’t have to
